ProspectSoft Version 6.01 Out Now!

ProspectSoft Version 6.01 is out now and has received some great feedback. Below is a selection of just some of the new version’s feature updates.

IRIS Exchequer offline special pricing

IRIS Exchequer users will now benefit from Special Pricing being imported into ProspectSoft CRM offline pricing and discount tables. Previously Exchequer special pricing was only available to users creating orders and quotes while connected online to their accounting system. The special pricing routines are available to offline users now and XML API applications, and integrated to ProspectSoft Web Solutions Ecommerce sites.

Improved accounts import

Accounts import has been improved with better error notifications and the ability to process large amounts of data. The import now automatically breaks any large import into 10,000 record chunks and each 10,000 record block is imported automatically one after another. Specific clear-up operations are executed to release operating system pointer and memory in between each chunk.
The application also “yields” to the Operating system between each record load, allowing the screen more chance to refresh while loading large datasets.

New version of the data import utility

This new version of ProspectSoft includes enhancements and fixes over the original Beta 1 release, with the following features included:

• Primary keys and foreign key constraints are handled better
• Ability to import to any Prospect CRM database table
• More user friendly interface
• .xls files save quicker
• Import to timestamp fields
• Able to update per field instead of per row

User configured profiles and settings location

ProspectSoft 6.00 was hard-coded and used the local application data storage location to save settings and other profile information. This was designed to be compatible with modern Windows client requirements for Windows Vista/ Windows 7, the majority of the terminal services users.

In order to accounts for as many different configurations as possible, Version 6.01 includes a utility which can be used to change the default storage location for the data files, should this be required.
