Kamarin Computers announce enhancements to current accounts integrated software range
As part of their continued commitment to innovation and development, Kamarin Computers have announced the latest series of enhancements to a range of its accounts integrated software products. Although Kamarin Computers have long held the view that product enhancement should be a continuous and ongoing process, the company feels that the current changes to the products deserve a special mention.
Scheduled in for quarter three of 2010 products due enhancement include the already popular KCPOS accounts integrated touch screen till system, KC Back Office Accounts, it’s leading stock management system, and KC eCommerce, the online ecommerce solution.  Key developments to KCPOS include improvements to the till functions where customers can benefit from speedier and more efficient transactions. B2B users of KCPOS will benefit from the ability to specify account customers in the touch of a button. Also the security functions for X-reads are in line to be toughened up too.
Enhancements to KC Back Office include daily transfers to nominal ledgers, optional automatic purchase ledger invoice will now be able to be put on hold and statements can now be emailed out to the correct recipients. There are over 15 other key enhancements due for completion during the third quarter of 2010 and further details can be obtained from Kamarin direct.
The second version of KC eCommerce is also due for release in the third part of 2010 and includes some exciting new developments focusing around the link system. Users of KC eCommerce can now run as a server on a PC, newly added customers and stock records can be updated live to the website, “in stock†quantities can be read live using the accounts package and local transaction data can be stored and synchronised with KC Loyalty.
Looking further into the future Kamarin have also announced enhancements due for completion in the last quarter of the year with some particularly innovative changes due to be made to the new Version 2.20 of KCPOS. Key amongst the changes include a new look and feel to the client till interface, changing the interface to work with the newer Microsoft .NET framework and decimals of discount percentages will be allowed. Of particular interest to retail customers include allowing matrix items to have a colour code; this will provide users with the ability to search for products faster than ever before. Trade users of KCPOS will also benefit as whole transactions can be made VAT exempt. Finally larger customers using Sage 200 in conjunction with KCPOS will benefit from an increase in the location field size which will increase from 4 to 20 characters.

Due before the end of the year is the new release of KC Back Office Accounts Version 1.06 which also promises to greatly improve the functionality and features of the product. Enhancements include improvements in the ability to import stock prices from Excel. Products will have the option of being viewed in all sizes with an adjustment feature which can be utilised. Totals can be gathered on the turnover report also.
