IRIS Exchequer Top Plug-Ins

Carrying on our run down of the top IRIS Exchequer Plug-Ins this month we look at the User-Defined Period, Purchase Order Daybook Security and Custom Hold Plug-Ins which can all add additional functionality to your existing system.

1)      User-Defined Period Plug-In

The standard IRIS Exchequer product gives you the flexibility to have up to 99 periods in a financial year.

However, should you require specific start and end dates for your accounting periods that are outside of traditional calendar months, the User-Defined Period Plug-In allows you to set-up a table of periods, each with start and end dates suitable to your business needs. IRIS Exchequer will respect the user defined periods and will post transactions to the appropriate period in accordance with those defined.

The User Defined Period Plug-In is controlled by a simple administrator tool and once configured you can be sure that your transactions will post to the correct period by following the rules of the Plug-In. The IRIS Exchequer validation options such ‘posting to previous periods’ system switch are fully compatible with this Plug-In.

2)      Purchase Order Daybook Security Plug-In

The Purchase Order Daybook Security Plug-In delivers user based security specifically for purchase orders (POR) and purchase delivery notes (PDN). Using the simple administration tool, you create user based rules as to who can add and update Purchase orders.

Only those users created within the administration are allowed to create Purchase orders and users are only allowed to update transactions created by themselves allowing for complete sole ownership of the purchase cycle.

-IRIS Exchequer v6
- Modules - Sales/Purchase Order Processing, User Defined Fields, User Defined 1 and 2 on Purchase Order and Purchase Delivery Note Header are utilised by this Plug-In
- Editions - MS SQL/Pervasive

3)      Custom Hold Plug-In

The Custom Hold Plug-In extends and introduces more flexibility to the IRIS Exchequer Account on Hold status validation for customer records by allowing you to select those sales transactions that you wish to be prevented from being added into IRIS Exchequer. A simple, password protected administration tool is provided as part of the Plug-In to ease the setup process.
